They will eventually stand up on their own, although the exact age is different with every puppy. I have seen a few that had one ear stand up completely and the other ear stand up only part way. If you see this starting to happen you can massage the ear in an upright postition and it will help strengthen the ear and help it stand.

∙ 12y agoDo not worry as it is more than likely that your puppies ears will stand up by themselves eventually when the cartilage develops. Some puppies ears take longer to stand than others so give it time. If the ears do not stand by themselves, you could always have them cropped (providing it is legal where you live) but this would likely disqualify the Dog from professional shows as according to the Breed Standard the ears should not be cropped.
