Check the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. If it fails it can allow fuel to enter the manifold via the vacuum hose.
In a gasoline engine, it is a fuel-air mixture that is drawn in during the intake stroke, unless the engine is fuel injected. In a fuel injected or a diesel engine, it is air, because the fuel (gasoline or diesel) is injected at the "last moment" before ignition.
The 5.9L V8 only had egr in 1995 and before. It was located behind the intake next to the distributor on a multiport fuel injected engine, and on the side of the intake on a throttle body injected version. The 5.9L V8 only had egr in 1995 and before. You have to get a special intake that you can bolt a carburetor to.
A four stroke engine has four basic operations within the engine. It has Intake, compression, power and exhaust strokes. During the intake, or suction stroke, a mixture of fuel air is injected into the cylinder.
To supply air to each cylinder on a fuel injected engine and to supply fuel/air on a carbureted engine.
From the tank, gasoline goes through the fuel line, fuel pump and fuel filter brfore entering the engine. In a fuel-injected engine, it then goes directly to the injectors and gets injected into the cylinder. In a carburated engine, the fuel goes through the carburator, then the intake, and passes through the intake valve into the cylinder.
On a 1986 Chevy Celebrity V6 the sensor that operates the gauge or temp light is on the head by the firewall at the rear of the engine. There is another temperature sensor on the water outlet. There is another temperature sensor that controls the cold start injector it is on the intake manifold next to the fuel rail. Fuel injected models only.
A shaft that connects the pistons through rods and rotates for Compression Exhaust and Intake of the enginge
The pcv is located on either valve cover or the intake.
First of all the 85 is a fuel injected engine, You can not put a carburetor on a fuel injected intake manifold it won't even fit.And if you put a carbureted intake on it you will need to change the elect fuel pump in the tank, the distributor and you will need to DRILL out the 4 center bolt holes in the intake manifold too. Plane and simple THE ENGINE WON'T RUN WORTH A...................D...M need to keep it fuel injected.
most Chevy cps's are located in the timing cover(behind the balancer). I'm not certain on the Celebrity, but it would be a good place to check.AnswerOn my 1986 Celebrity 2.5, it is beneath the intake manifold on the back of the engine.
no more carburetors. fuel injected throttle body. throttle body is at the end of the air intake hose on the engine.
