XMB is not for the computer it stands For xross(cross) media bar for the sony playstation 3 and the psp systems
XMB stands for Xcross Media Bar. An XMB is a graphic interface that Sony developed for use in it's Playstation gaming devices. The XMB allows the user to navigate via a set of icons on the screen.
in the xmb navigate to playstation network. then find playstation store.
You can download the Move me software for the Playstation move from the official Playstation website through your Playstation 3. The app will then be added to the game section of the XMB browser.
In order to connect to the Playstation store you must sign in to the Playstation Network and select the icon from the Xmb for the Playstation Store.

You don't need a stand for the old PlayStation 3 edition. However for the one called "PlayStation 3 SLim" you DO need a stand for it.

If you keep your PS3 up to date, it should be on your XMB under PlayStation Network. Select it and it will prompt you if you want to download it. Select "Yes" and it will download PlayStation Home.
There is an option on the xmb menu, under the playstation network section, that says sign up :)
