No, Sgt. Eversmann did not die. He was rescued by Rangers along with his fellow soldiers who were pinned down for eighteen hours in the most dangerous part of the city.
Answer One: He only had the one where he regenerated from the older Professor Yana, to the younger Master. This is, of course, not counting when he was resurrected in the final episode of Series 4. Answer Two: Even though there have only been six actors (to present date - 2010) who have portrayed the Master on screen, the character seems to have had many many more than the twelve regenerations normally allocated to a Time Lord and is most definitely on his second, possibly even third, extra regeneration cycle. Answer Three: The 2010 edition of Doctor Who: The Visual Dictionary (BBC Books) says the Master has had 17 bodies. This number includes his original 13 (which includes the versions of the Master who appeared in the Jon Pertwee era and the early Tom Baker era), and the additional "stolen bodies" including those played by Anthony Ainley, Eric Roberts, and finally the "new regenerations" given to him by the Time Lords which includes the Masters played by Derek Jacobi and John Simm in the new series.
Roman slaves played the same games as their master played. However this depended upon their status. A city or domestic slave who was more than likely raised along with the master's children would play the same games as the freeborns, such as knucklebones, or the various board games. They would also join in the physical training of their masters. Slaves were not allowed to gambol except at the festival of Saturnalia. The rural slaves though, had a different situation as they were usually far from any urban amusements although during free time, they too had their diversions.

In North Philadelphia there was a semi-pro football team called the Vagabonds. Their home field was the "Rec" (short for Recreation Center) located at 26th and Master Streets. They were part of the Delaware Valley Football League. I understand that they played till the early 80s. Philadelphia City Councilman Darrell Clarke quarterbacked for a time in the 70s. The Vagabonds were an institution in North Philadelphia for over 40 years. My name is Sam Weiner and I played for the Vags for a few years, my Jersey number was 74.
