The truck released by Chevrolet in 1949 was the 3100. It was an upgrade of the earlier 3100 design with some minor modifications. options included a rear view mirror, real leather seats and various tire sizes.

It sure looks like a Chevrolet 3100. I believe the 5 piece horizontal front grill was first produced in 1948 and continued on until 1953. Not sure if it's a 3 window (not counting the windshield) or the 5 window. Sure is a pretty truck.
