On a 1987 Chevy S10 PU how do you get to the distributor cap to replace it?

Husband says on a 4 cylinder, it's located down on passenger side, 6 cyl it's on top in the back under the air cleaner and either one takes a straight screwdriver for 2 screws.

What year is your s10? What size engine do you have? My '98 s10 with 2.2l 4-cyl doesn't have a distributor. Instead, it has ignition coils. If you can see your spark plug wires, you can always trace them from the plug to the coil or distributor. Good luck!
