sounds like the fuel sensor is the problem
check starter
YesFirst if the starter is bad the car will not start, if it will not start it can not charge the battery. If the starter will not work it can mean there is an electrical problem that will also prevent the alternator from charging the batteryThe starter itself CAN NOT CAUSE CHARGING PROBLEMS!The extra load on the battery can ruin the battery and that can ruin the alternator. But before that NO.
Test the battery with a digital voltmeter. You should get a reading of 12.6 V if the battery is fully charged. If the battery is fully charged then you know the alternator is functioning properly and your problem is more than likely a defective starter.
Low battery (bad battery or alternator) or bad starter, most likely.
Indirectly. The positive cable on the battery is hooked to the starter. The other wire on the starter post goes up to the alternator.
Starter solenoid.
There is not a fusible link between the alternator and starter. There is a regulator on the alternator. The starter is directly connected to the battery, as is the alternator.
Is it charging, if not have you checked wiring to alternator.
The problem is not the starter. The battery is either not holding or not receiving enough charge. Problem could be (1) loose alternator beltl (2) loose/corroded battery cable(s); (3) dead cell(s) in the battery; (4) bad alternator.
Most likely, your starter isn't the problem. You may have a bad alternator. Usually when your battery doesn't recharge properly it's an issue with the alternator. Have a mechanic inspect the alternator if you're not comfortable doing it yourself. If it is an issue with the alternator, it's a pretty cheap fix.
Had the same problem. Bought a re-conditioned alternator, turned out it was bad. Usually if battery draining, it's alternator or battery or both.
Battery, starter, starter relay solonoid, or a charging problem i.e. alternator or voltage regulator causing battery to discharge. Or bad battery cable connection or dirty or loose battery cable connections can cause this problem. Need to investigate & narrow it down.
