I had a Dodge Neon that periodically all the guages went to 'zero'. Had it in the shop several times for nearly 15 days total, and it turned out that the battery connections were a little corroded and loose. I would suggest checking to make sure your battery is operating correctly and is connected correctly. Check any of your brake lights/running lights - If they burn out then this condition arises.
