If it has the bi-metal spring actuated valve it has a donut. If it has a vacuum operated valve it has no donut.
1993 chevy 4.3 v6 1500 truck temp gauge inoperative,
Sounds like you might be talking about the heat riser passages that provide heat for the automatic choke (if equipped). Not needed for carbs with manual choke or heat stove-type pulloffs.
Check operation of exhaust "heat riser" valve. Also check exhaust header gasket for leaks. Heat riser should be near the exhaust header, in exhaust pipe connection.
You'll probably be colder than normal.
yes make sure the exhuast heat riser passages in the heads that go through the intake have the gasket insert the same way as the tbi setup. why would you want the tbi ?
A heat riser is a duct that allows heat to rise up from the exhaust manifold. It's purpose is to warm the air being brought into the intake manifold preventing the freezing of moisture, that might otherwise cause the engine to stop running or run properly.
The heater core is stoped up / MAYBE. Are the engine is low on coolant, Check coolant level in radiator.
* A heat riser valve
heat the cap up with a turbo torch and burn the plastic out of the cap groove.
Its When You Get A Warm Donut And Screw The Sprinkles Off It Don't Let It Cool Down Heat It For 1 Min And Have Fun After Eat It
yes However, it is not recommended .. so the damage needs to be in front of the shock mounts .. and only heat to a soft red color
Have you checked your suction lines.
