On a motorcraft battery the round circle on the top of the battery is red. does this mean the battery is no longer good?

a red or yellow eye signifies a low charge. possibly due to stop and go driving less than 15 mnutes per run. after proper charge the tere maybe a geen ring with a small red area. this is normal and will go away if the battery hasn't been damaged from the heavy discharge, usually a few day of driving. Sory I don't have the TSB number to verify what i say.........I will try to update with a TSB number later.
I have the same condition and had it checked out. My battery is good,even tho one of the batteries has red inside the view port.
