the ending of Fallout 3 is a series of narrated clips that differ depending on what you do in the game.
***spoiler***
examples:
if you infect the water, it will say something about it in the ending
if you sacrifice Lyons it will say something different than if you activated the purifier yourself
if you are good, it will say different things than if you were evil.
You die, if you sacrifice youself you see that ending and if you send sentinal lyons in you see that ending or if you planted the fev virus you will see that ending. If you have broken steel addon you will on die
"SPOILER" In the last mission of Fallout 3, your character has the choice of allowing himself to die or Lyons. This does not impact the rest of the game.
Note:I do not have the "Broken Steel" expansion and since this expansion allows you to play past the end of the game, the answer above may not be given to you if you have this expansion.
No, you can carry on playing, killing, trading and exploring all the places you have not yet visited, in addition there are now at least two expansion packs available to extend the game further.
Fallout New Vegas can end in many different ways, being affected mainly by the players choices throughout the story, although there are four possible endings, most of which will include small hints of your karmic state at the time of completion. They are -
- Mr House - The Courier will complete all of the House quests and take over Hoover Dam. The NCR and Legion will be pushed from Nevada and everyone in the Mojave will live under Mr House, who will ignore the smaller factions, keeping only his strip and a few other locations in order.
- The Legion - The Courier will complete all of the Legion quests and take over Hoover Dam. The NCR will be pushed from Nevada, the Strip will eventually be destroyed and everyone will live under Caeser, who will make most of the Mojave inhabitants slaves or legionaries, if they are not killed first.
- The NCR - The Courier will complete all of the NCR quests and keep Hoover Dam. The Legion will be pushed from Nevada, the strip will eventually succumb and go under mainly NCR control. Everyone will then live under the NCR rule, who will try their best to keep the Mojave in good shape, but will have their share of mishaps due to the corrupt government.
- Yes Man- The Courier will complete all of the Wild Card quests and take Hoover Dam for himself/herself. The NCR and Legion will be pushed from Nevada, Mr house will be killed and everyone will live under the anarchy of the Mojave.
After the main quest is complete there are two options. A. The game is over, you die, it ends permanently. B. You go to your game console's store and buy a DLC for Fallout 3 called "Broken Steel" which continues the main quest. And when you beat Broken Steel the game keeps going. It should cost about $10.
I personally recommend Fallout 3 to any other Fallout game. Fallout 3 has a more organized and in my opinion interesting storyline. And you. And you can also keep the game going after you beat the main quest on Fallout 3 if you buy the DLC "Broken Steel."
The game begins.... you start playing it, its open freeworld game, so its volunteraly what u do, but if u want to do main questi, go to megatown( can find on map) but the game stops after main quest is over... but its not short one, what i would do, is do 5 main quest missions, then start doing side quest's
just continue on with the main quest and you'll be able to do it.
the broken steel expansion continues after the purifier final quest on the original game, you can level to 30 without completing the main questline.
you can if you want to but after you beat it it goes back to the main screen where you can load a save that you saved BEFORE you beat the game
Yes and no; That is, not directly. If you complete the final main story mission, the game ends. However, if you do that, you can restart from the last savepoint, not complete the final mission, and continue the game as you wish.
After you finish the main quest the game ends. But if you own it on Xbox 360 and have Xbox LIVE, Broken Steel will extend the main quest and will raise the level cap from 20 to 30.
If your asking about the the PC verion. Launch fallout 3 then at the beginning where you normally click 'Play', there are options and one says 'datafile'. Click that and make sure the expansion packs are ticked.Pointlook out should be available straight away. Broken steel you need to complete the main quest of the 'standard' game.
you dont have a first follower in fallout 3 you see... this type of game lets you walk the wastes freely. meaning that wichever one you encounter first is your first (which is probably jerico in megaton if you follow the main quest.
All the DLC packs are side missions only and must be completed before you end the game. None of them extend the main quest like Broken Steel did for Fallout 3.
Yes, however, you will have to complete the Main Quest to a certain stage, because the Elder Scroll from the Main Quest is later used in Dawnguard.
