From what I understand of your problem, IF the fuse for that circuit IS good, then the problem is probably that the wiring of that circuit is "open,"[disconnected] somewhere.
For an electrical circuit to function, the circuit must be "" which" means that a conductor [wire] must be attached to the Positive terminal of the battery and run [through various harnesses and connectors, plugs, etc.] to the fuse, then to a control switch [not needed in this case of yours], then to the electrical device (in this case your "outlets"), and then another wire [called a ground] back to the Negative terminal of the battery. Sometimes the ground wire does not go all the way back to the battery Negative terminal, but instead connects to the body sheet metal near the device, and the body sheet metal is all grounded to the Negative terminal of the battery.
This continuous line of conduction makes a "circuit." IF any part of that circuit is disconnected at a connector, or a screw terminal, or at a sheet metal ground screw, the circuit is "open," incomplete, and cannot conduct the electricity.
The "fix" for your problem is for someone who understands and is experienced in automotive electrical systems to fully "troubleshoot" that electrical circuit to find and identify the defect and then to properly correct it.
Although there could be only one of many possible defects, you need to find it, and fix it in order to cause the circuit to work as it should.
Another thing that comes to mind is that often fuses will "look OK" yet be incapable of conducting electricity. How do you know that:
Aha, another one! Yes, our '99 caravan is acting the same way. I have checked the bulbs and fuses, both checked good. I even checked the wires with a volt meter. No power is getting to the bulb sockets.
The fuse box for the trailer lights are under the hood (drivers side). Have to look in your owners manual to find the correct fuse.
could be a grounding problem make sure you have a good connection in that taillight
Hello - I have a 1987 Montero/Raider. The turnsignal/hazard relay is on the drivers side underneath the dash. It simply unplugs/plugs in. It's not hard to get to. Use a flashlight. Mine was very inexpensive to replace.
Open tailgate. Remove 2 torx screws in side of taillight. wiggle taillight out, Remove hex screws that hold bulb assembly in taillight. change bulb, Reassemble
Same as parking/dash lights
It plugs into the taillight.
you've either lost both taillight bulbs, or, more likely, you've blown the taillight fuse.
it is most likely a fuse or at worst the turn signals and stop lights work through the turnsignal switch
Caravan lights can be bought on camping websites, eBay, and online caravan stores. There are many options to purchase these. You can use comparison sites to compare prices, reliability and shipping prices.
AutoAnything. The AutoAnything website has an extensive selection of lights for a Dodge Caravan. All of the lights for sale have reviews. If you want to find reviews on the "Caravan of Light" album by various artists, check Amazon.
There is a taillight fuse in the fuse panel.
