What does it mean on the regular road when you have a continuous yellow line with intermitent yellow broken lines beside the continuous yellow line?
A solid yellow line next to a broken yellow line means that vehicles next to the broken line may pass. The yellow lines define the road as two way, traffic opposing each other. The side of the road with the solid yellow line facing it is a no-passing zone, while the opposite side of the road, with the intermittent line facing it, passing is permitted.

The Truvelo is a forward facing camera that utilises similar technology to the Gatso - By laying virtual loops in the road ahead of the camera, a trigger is used to take a photograph when the speed limit is exceeded or the "virtual" loop is broken. Picture the camera projecting a set of lines on the road - The time it takes to break the first line before the second line is broken determines whether…
Tides are created by the gravitational pull of the moon on the water in the oceans. Water levels are highest on the side of the earth facing the moon, lowest on the two sides that are 90° away from facing the moon, and somewhere in between on the side of the earth facing away from the moon. As the earth rotates, any particular point on the earth will cycle through facing the moon, facing 90°…
Kois symbolise strength in the Asian culture. Facing downwards generally means that the way the Koi is directing in the way in which the power will flow. I am considering getting one on my arm, as a full arm piece with Koi facing away from me as a symbol of strength going through my left arm and out my hand (or fist)

The usage of the north star, or Polaris, is to find which way you are facing. If you are facing in the direction of it, you are facing north. If you are facing the opposite direction of the north star, you are facing south. If you are facing left of the north star, you are facing east. If you are facing right of the north star, you are facing west.

As the Earth rotates around the sun it also rotates on its own axis. The Earth rotates through 360 degrees every 24 hours (1 day). One side of the Earth is always facing the sun, as the Earth rotates through its axis, the side facing the sun changes; if viewed from a stationary geographical location on Earth, we experience daytime, twilight, nighttime, dawn and then daytime once again.
