The Iceland volcanoes affect the economy because when planes are grounded the airlines lose billions of dollars
Thankfully, no. Many flights were cancelled because of this risk.
Yes it is...Last years eruptions cause chaos around the world, hundreds of planes were grounded as dust and ash filled the sky
this volcano stopped air planes from travelling to their destination as the toxic air polluted the atmosphere, health illnesses rose, e.g. asthma, economically effected as businesses were not able to fulfill their jobs.
The ash from the volcano made planes crash as it got stuck in the fan thingy :P so planes had to be stopped around Europe for 2 wees until it calmed down :/
by spewing up tons of volcanic ash that makes the engines of planes stuff up, so no air travel to and from nearly the whole of Europe could be used.
Because the ash from the volcano made the engines fail which would kill many many people
They don't sometimes.
yes in 2010 the eruption in Iceland had a big effect on air travel because of the ash cloud the volcano released. Scientists believed that the ash could stop the engines from running. This year there was another eruption in Iceland but scientists had discovered that the ash didn't have as big effect on the engines as they had originally thought therefore it was the travel companies who got to choose if the planes flew or not.
Volcano ash hazard can be dangerous.
No one knows. All planes were eventually grounded on 9/11, so who knows if there could have been more that they were planning to hijack but didn't get to.
The Eyjafallajokull volcano effected the local people in Eyjafjall and it effected the airspace aabove our heads which had stopped the planes flying and stranded people on holiday.
