Jehovah's Witnesses (JW's) do not celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Jehovah's Witnesses are not like other religious organizations. Jehovah's Witnesses do not persecute people for their religious views. Therefore nothing has happened to them 'for persecution'. JWs could never be found guilty of 'persecution'. Jehovah's Witnesses 'have been' persecuted for their uncompromising stand on various matters. JWs will not bear military arms in any nation, out of obedience to Jesus command to LOVE others. JWs have been persecuted for their uncompromising stand regarding their preaching ministry, out of obedience to Jesus mandate in Matthew 28:19, 20.
Jehovah's Witnesses can not celebrate the 4th of July because they only celebrate weddings, anniversaries, and religiously-bound holidays (ex.- Christmas). The Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas. The only holidays they celebrate are what we non-JWs call the Lord's Supper. Jehovah's Witnesses view themselves as "no part of the world", as Jesus did when he was on the earth. (John 17:14) While they are citizens of current governments, and loyally obey the laws of the land when they do not conflict with God's Word the Bible, they do not believe that our salvation will come at the hands of governments of men. Therefore, why celebrate a tradition who's purpose is to promote a government instituted by men? What is more, the 4th of July celebration itself is a tradition celebrating America's "liberation". The holiday is therefore celebrating America as our salvation, whereas Jehovah's Witnesses look to Jesus as their savior. No

The Setting is important - Read from verse 9 onwards. Jesus explains to the Pharisees who did not agree that Jesus was eating with sinners and Tax collectors - Jesus replies by giving the reason why he was showing mercy and would help anyone who would accept the truth about him and his father. This is also the reason why his followers Jehovah's Witnesses call on every person in order that they can also come to know Jesus purpose, unlike the Religious leaders of his day. Next time you are talking to a Christian Witness of Jehovah ask them to enlarge on the context of that potion of scripture.
Jehovah is God's personal name. There are more than 130 000 JWs in the UK.
This question is based on fallacious assumptions.
A true Jehovah's Witness would never date a non-Jehovah's Witness. JWs are taught that dating is for those who are ready for marriage. Marriage is a sacred bond that two like souls share and JWs only marry JWs or even date JWs because their lives revolve around what they are taught and when they date or marry a person who shares these same principles, ideals and beliefs it makes the relationship run extremely smooth and that much more enjoyable for both parties involved. For more information ask a Jehovah's Witness when you see them or go to your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness' and ask anyone for more information on the matter. I hope this helped and I hope you find your answer.:-)
Please go to the website for ultimatebibleresearch. It is a wonderful site for JWs.
This is a highly subjective question, each one must decide for themselves if they percieve JWs to be right or not.
Studying ABOUT the American Revolution isn't problematic for JWs. The issue is teaching servitude to an earthly government. JWs consider themselves citizens of a heavenly kingdom only, so citizenship and dedication to an earthly government is in conflict with this doctrine. It would make absolutely no since for any religious group to not allow their followers to learn about the history of our world, especially important events such as the American Revolution. Thus Jehovah's Witnesses obviously allow them to do so - the question of whether or not you should is never brought up as the answer is clear.
Matthew 11:27 is discussing how all the knowledge that Jesus obtained was from his father, Jehovah God. Then when he says "neither does anyone fully know the Father but the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him" means that you can't get to truly know God unless you go through Jesus (so to speak). That's why at the end of our prayers we say 'in Jesus name we pray, Amen' because we acknowledge Jesus' sacrifice, appreciate it, and realize that without Jesus we wouldn't have a chance to have a true relationship with Jehovah God. And Matthew 11:28-30 is Jesus inviting those who are "loaded down" with the problems of this world and telling them to take on his load which is "light" because it adds no further burden to you considering its for your benefit (like abstaining from fornication, sacrificing to idols, blood, etc. *that's stated at Acts 15:28, 29)
