Kilimanjaro includes three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. The last eruption of any of them is estimated at 150,000-200,000 years ago. Mawenzi and Shira are extinct volcanoes, but Kibo is merely dormant and could conceivably erupt again.
