According to Judaism, the world was created by HaShem in seven days (this is why there are seven days in a week). However, Judaism does not tell us how the world was created, it tells us what HaShem (The Creator) did during creation. On the first day, God created the light, and separated it from the dark.On the second day, God created the sky. He also deferred between the water which is beneath the sky, and the water which is above the sky.On the third day, God separated the world to land and ocean. During this day, plants stared to grow on earth. On the forth day, God created the sun, the moon, and all of the stars. Day and night came into order. On the fifth day, living creatures started to appear.Especially water creatures, and those which can fly.On the sixth day, God created the animals. Later on god created man.On the seventh day - God rested. This is why we have Shabbat (the day of rest) once a week. The majority of Jews, regardless of how religiously observant they are, find no conflict between the story of creation and the theories of evolution and the Big Bang.
