One dash of anything is merely a momentary flip of the wrist, so it depends product to product based on viscosity and dasher cap. Worcestershire sauce (the main brand in the U.S., Lea and Perrins) comes to about 1/16 of an ounce per dash.

What can you substitute in place of worcestershire sauce?

Worcestershire sauce is an unusual liquid condiment, but if I had to substitute it with anything I would go with soy sauce. Just look at the ingredients and see if you can find anything else like it: vinegar, molasses, high fructose corn syrup, anchovies, water, onions, salt, garlic, tamarind concentrate, cloves, natural flavorings and chili pepper extract.

What is the original name of the drink bloody Mary?

A cocktail that contains vodka, tomato juice, and usually other various flavorings such as Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, horseradish, celery, salt, and black pepper Typical recipe: * 1 oz. to 1 1/2 oz.vodka in a Highball glass filled with ice. * Fill glass with tomato juice * 1 dash celery salt * 1 dash ground black pepper * 1 dash Tabasco * 2-4 dashes of Lea & Perrin's Worcestershire sauce * 1/8 tsp. horseradish (pure, never creamed) * Dash of lemon or lime juice Garnish with celery stalk. About 4,000 variants of this venerable cocktail exist. Here's one I like that I stole from the Waldorf Hotel in NYC before it closed (maybe :} ): * 2oz Vodka * 1Tbsp fresh lemon juice. * 8-10oz tomato juice -- fresh if possible. * 1-2Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce. * .5tsp Celery Salt * 1-2Tbsp catchup * 1tsp or more Horseradish (not the cream sauce). * Salt and Freshly ground black Pepper to taste * Dash of Tabasco sauce or to taste. Shake all with ice in a real cocktail shaker. Don't even think about blending or stirring. Serve in a large, tall glass. First wet the rim with lemon juice and dip the wet rim in celery salt. Enjoy

How do you make a really good fried chicken?

No one really knows. But I know how to make really good dipping sauce. You mix 2 dashes of soy sauce, 1 dash of mustard. And last, 1 dash of teryiaki sauce. When you add the mustard, don't add too much or it will taste really sour and tangy! :( gross!

Does Worcester sauce have gluten?

http://www.clanthompson.com/res_info_lists_show_items.php3?category=Foods&category_id=13 states that it is gluten free: "French's Worcestershire Sauce: Manufactured by Reckitt Benckiser. Gluten free: Yes. Vegetarian: No. Verified: 10/12/2007. Comments: Caramel color is not derived from wheat. Contains anchovies." It is debatable with the malt vinegar as an ingredient, however sources say (http://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/lofiversion/index.php/t26197.html) that no one has had a problem with french's so far.
