Sir Lancelot was one of Arthur's knights, who according to legend, ran away with Arthur's wife, Guinevere.
lancelot
Sir Lancelot fell in love with King Arthur's wife, Queen Guinevere, which brought about tragic consequences.
Arthur-Guinevere-Lancelot(-Elaine) love triangle (Lancelot was a knight)
Elaine of astolat daughter of King Pelles was also known as the lady of shallot, the fair lily maiden who was deeply in love with lancelot, one of King Arthurs knights of the round table. Most famous from Lord tennysons poetry she is a representation of unrequited love as Lancelot is in love with another Queen Guinevere. Sadly elaine of Astolat dies of grief and heartbreak that her love is not returned from lancelot and is placed on barge to sail towards Camelot.
Arthur was always in love with his wife Guinevere. When she held an affair with Lancelot, Arthur was stuck in a love triangle, his brotherly love for Lancelot, and his romantic love for Guinevere. He died during the fall of his kingdom, which was when the Lancelot Guinevere love triangle was at its peak. Needless to say, he only loved Guinevere.
Lancelot
Guinevere.
guinevere
She love Sir Lancelot.
It was a very rock relationship. Guinevere loved Sir Lancelot (Arthur's best knight and closest friend) and Sir Lancelot loved Guinevere back. In some versions, Lady Guinevere even runs off with Sir Lancelot and has children with him! However, in most versions, Guinevere and Sir Lancelot just love each other and have a full-blown affair. In another version, King Arthur got over their relationship and married a woman named Iblis. King Arthur also allowed Guinevere and Lancelot to start a relationship (because he couldn't really do anything about it....). However, he said he could not forgive them, ignoring that...Guinevere and Lancelot moved to Brittany (where Lancelot's father was staying). Hope that answered your question!
