check all ur fuses in engine compartment. also check the ones in the passenger side right wall. its a little plastic panel that pops off.
If your high beams still work it is the dimmer switch.
Take your car in to have it checked. Turn signals should work without high beams.
your bulbs are burnt out. when you switch on the high beams its only the high beams. but when you flash your brights it lights up both high and low beams.
Your high beams work but your low beams do not because the switch is broken that switches between high and low beams. Electrical switches wear out.
Fuse or dimmer switch is the only answer i can think of if lights come on but just won't go from high to low or visa versa
If low beams do not work and the high beams of a Mitsubishi Eclipse do, it is probably due to a corroded connector. Simply clean the connector and add some petroleum jelly to the terminals.
The turn signal switch is classified as a multifunction switch. So if the high beams are working the low beam side of this switch could be bad. Check to see if there is a separate fuse for low beams, check for power at the wire connection at the low beam bulb. If there isn't any power and no fuse then the multifunction switch is probably bad.
First check the bulbs, if the bulbs are good I would suspect the high/low beam switch is bad.
As a guess both low beams are burnt out The daytime running and high beams are the same light filament. Or the fuse or the relay for the low beams.
Your low beams may have a short in the wiring system. It is also possible that the bulbs have burned out in both of them.Ê
Bulb problem - The bulb actually has 2 filaments in it and one of the filaments has burned out, replace bulb problem fixed.
check the bulb low bean burns out before high beams
