I have found that Oregano Oil has helped my Sinusitis problem. It helps to dry up build up of congestion without drying sinus cavity. I am not sure how much I should be taking. The store clerk where I purchased the product told me three drops under my tongue and washing it down with water is fine. Articles I am reading say one drop diluted. Does anyone know what is correct? Have I been taking too much causing other internal side effects? B.D.

Is oil of oregano safe to give horses?

I have used essential oils professionally for more than 20 years for products at vivantnatural.com. While there are a few essential oils that are safe to ingest, there are many more that should not be ingested. It is good practice not to take essential oils orally, but rely on the essential oils in the herb itself. That would be far safer. Dogs can eat oregano, garlic, and many other herbs.

There may be some better solutions, but this seems to be safe and effective. You may also want to try Oregano oil, which many have claimed to be useful for sinuses and clearing the airways. You can now buy Oregano sprays at some health food stores. Do not use regular essential oil, as it will contain petroleum and will be harmful to your brain.
