Name the phase of cell division when duplicated chromosomes first appear?

Duplicated chromosomes first become visible during prophase.

Which period are chromosomes duplicated in?

During the cell cycle, chromosomes are duplicated during the interphase.

In what process are chromosomes duplicated?

Chromosomes are duplicated in the interphase of cell division.

When do the chromosomes become duplicated?

Chromosomes become duplicated during meiosis. This is the process of replicating sex cells, otherwise known as gametes. This is how humans create new sex cells for reproduction.

During which phase of the cell cycle are duplicated chromosomes present?

The S phase in the interphase. Chromosomes are copied in the interphase part of the cell cycle S phase would be the answer. It is during Interphase (G1, S, G2) that they are copied. SO dependant on your answers it's either interphase or S.

When are the sister chromatids of each duplicated chromosomes separated?

Chromosomes separate during the anaphase stage of meiosis or mitosis. During this stage the chromosomes move to the opposite ends of the cell.

What contains uncondensed chromosomes that have been duplicated?

The nucleus of a cell contains uncondensed chromosomes that have been duplicated. During the interphase of the cell cycle, before cell division, the chromosomes replicate and form sister chromatids that are still uncondensed and spread throughout the nucleus.

Are chromosomes in a duplicated or in unduplicated state when crossing over occurs?
