To change the steering rack on a 2003 Ford Transit, start by safely lifting the vehicle and removing the front wheels for access. Disconnect the steering column from the rack, and remove any mounting bolts or brackets securing the rack to the chassis. Drain the power steering fluid, then detach the hydraulic lines and carefully pull out the old rack. Install the new steering rack by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all connections are secure and refill the power steering fluid before testing.

To fit a power steering pump to a 2001 Ford Transit, start by disconnecting the battery and removing the serpentine belt. Next, detach the existing pump by unbolting it from its mounting bracket and disconnecting the high-pressure and return hoses. Install the new pump by securing it in place, reconnecting the hoses, and then reinstalling the serpentine belt. Finally, refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system to remove any air.
