To fit a Power Steering pump to a 2001 Ford Transit, start by disconnecting the battery and removing the serpentine belt. Next, detach the existing pump by unbolting it from its mounting bracket and disconnecting the high-pressure and return hoses. Install the new pump by securing it in place, reconnecting the hoses, and then reinstalling the serpentine belt. Finally, refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system to remove any air.
