The parts of the Microsoft Word application may vary depending upon which version of the program the user is using. For instance, in the 2010 version of the program there are eight different parts to the application. The parts include the file section which includes basic commands such as save. The next section is the home screen which is where the user types their document. Insert allows the user to insert any graphics or tables needed for their document. Page layout allows the user to change the size of the document. The references section allows the user to insert footnotes and end notes among other commands. Mailings will allow the user to create a mail ready document. Review contains word count and other important information. View allows the users to manipulate the view they see their document in.
