The religion that Pennsylvania was founded for as a save haven really wasn't a specific religion at all it was more for the Quakers though, who were mostly of Christian faith, because the Quakers were being perscuted in England and so William Penn was given a land grant for Pennsylvania and created his society, which was actually tolerant of many religions.
