Everything I have read always says to wait a few days and retest.....
It says that is is accurate 5 days before a missed period. If you take it that early and get a negative, I would retest 5 days later. Sometimes women do not have enough hormone in their urine to trigger a positive 5 days before their period.
Yes and No, the best way to find out is wait another week and take another test that is more efficient and accurate. There is one test that can detect after 1 week.
Most likely peri-menopause, menopause is no periods. If you have had sex, you can be pregnant. The test will be accurate once your period is a week late, some women don't have high enough hCG to have a positive test the first days of a missed period.
If you are on your period and u take a pregnancy test and its negative maybe you tested too early, your not pregnant or your eggs aren't coming together fast enough to tell if your pregnant or not .
I took a first response test the day after i missed my period and it came out negative. A week later it still hadn't shown up so i had blood work done at my Dr and sure enough I'm pregnant :-) I think the most accurate way to tell is to go to your Dr and have your blood taken, Then you can be positive either way. Good luck!
Usually four days late is enough time to get a positive test. If the test is negative and your period doesn't start, retest in one week.
It either means you're not pregnant or not far enough along to detect the pregnancy hormone. A blood test is most accurate.
Yes you could be pregnant, the regular tests may not be sensitive enough to pick up the hormone. You can take another test when you miss your period to confirm it. hope this helps.
Yes, if it's too early you can get a false negative (ie. there isn't enough HcG in your urine yet for the test to detect). It can tell you you're not pregnant when you actually are in the very early stages. If you miss your period, take another test.
An EPT is very accurate, if the hormones hCG is present it will tell you so, if it is not high enough to show pregnancy it will be negative until the level rises. If it is positive you are pregnant, if it is negative wait until your period is 7 days late then try again.
Pregnancy tests (OTC varieties) detect only to about 20 HCG ... and this usually corresponds to around three to six weeks of zygote development. So, taking a test during the spotting (when your period is due) would not yield viable results (not high enough concentrations of HCG). You would have to wait until about two weeks more to take another to be more accurate ... although a blood test now would be a much better option if you really want a definitive answer.
Obviously, that depends on your standard of accuracy. The sextant is accurate enough to allow you to navigate from where you are to where you want to be. It may not be as accurate at GPS, but it is accurate enough for its intended purpose.
