Mouth breathing does not cleans the impurities from the air as nasal breathing does. This leaves you more susceptible to illness and pollutants. It also does not heat the air as much and allows you to loose moisture from the body.
The act of breathing air into the lungs is simply called breathing. From the lungs, the air is transferred into the blood stream and moved to the other parts of the body.

breathing cycle involves basically inhaling and exhaling, usually something to do with the diaghpram muscle under the lungs. residual air is the air that remains in the bottom of the lungs and never leaves,if it did leave or wasnt their the lungs would collapse and you would die. this air can remain their for years without being refreshed. did you know you can simply refresh your residual air by going into prostration the same way muslims pray and bow down and while in prostration breathing in and out refreshens the residual air in your lungs.
Stomach breathing is not actually breathing into your stomach. It is breathing as a result of activating your diaphragm - which sits just above your stomach and pushes on your stomach when its pulling air. Diaphragm breathing is deeper breathing and it's where you pull more air into your lungs. Once the deeper parts of your lungs are filled, the air fills the upper part of your lungs in your chest...
