Petrol is not getting through could it be the pump?

Problem: No fuel reaching fuel injectors/carburetor On older model vehicles with carbureted engines the problem is either a bad fuel pump or a clogged filter (if equipped). Replace the fuel pump because a clogged filter is a rare problem; I have never run into fuel problems caused by a clogged filter in over 40 years of vehicle maintenance. On newer model fuel injected engines check for trouble codes at vehicle On Board Diagnostic terminal; a special reader will be required. Barring the display of a trouble code' check internal fuel pressure at fuel injector rack and replace pressure delivery module. Good Luck and Good Motoring! geo257@Yahoo.com John George North Carolina
