Basically it doesn't matter because it's just a color it has nothing to do with quality. But before you purchase antifreeze just make sure that it fits temperature range for your region. Some of them are made for warm only weather, some of them for cold only. Usually in auto stores you can find universal antifreeze which can work in a wide range of temperatures. It's probably the best choice if you don't leave in of those states with extreme weather conditions.
No, antifreeze is green or pink. If your antifreeze is brown (its rust) you to flush and clean your cooling/heating system. No, antifreeze is green or pink. If your antifreeze is brown (its rust) you to flush and clean your cooling/heating system.
It's the pink antifreeze
The Green AntiFreeze is the answer to this question. The only Toyota's that takes the Pink AntiFreeze are the 2006 and newer.
1998 Toyota Camry takes red antifreeze. some take green and orange, depending on the year. was never given a name, just the color.
A 1999 Toyota Camry does not require a specific antifreeze. Any brand name or non brand name antifreeze can be used in the 1999 Camry.
color has no effect on the performance of antifreeze... it all works the same and there will be no damage at all
Green
Some normal colors are green, yellow, red, pink, orange, blue,....
The green liquid is antifreeze. Check your motor for water leaks. This can have a bad affect if left unattended. You can overheat your motor and do damage.
You have a leaking transmission cooler, usually part of the radiator. The transmission fluid is mixing with the antifreeze turning it pink.
It came out with the pink...after 2 water pump failures I switched to the green...I will never use the pink again....... The choice is yours to make.
Its likely you will need a OAT (Organic Acid Technology) antifreeze if the original stuff is bright pink. Don't mix different colour of antifreeze. If you have Blue or Green in the car, it will need a complete flush before refilling with pink (OAT)
