Pious Chambers settled on the Chattahoochee above Weems AL and that is where he died. His only daughter , ELizabeth, was born March 13, 1802. She was the 1st wife of Col. James Bennett on 11/6/1823. After her death on 3/29/1825 she was buried on a bluff overlooking the Chattahoochee River just south of where the Bennett Mill Creek Enters the river. Pious Chambers had 2 sons. Thomas married, the daughter of Isaac Morgan, an early settler. His son, John married the daughter of Judge John H. Gilmore. John was the father of Mrs. J. B. Green whose husband was probate Judge of Henry County in 1862.

I believe both Thomas and John were in the Civil War.
