There are lots of interesting places to see in Malta ... worthy of note are the Neolithic temples which are the oldest free standing structures in the world (they are older than the pyramids in Egypt), stunning baroque palaces and fortifications that were built by the Knights of St John, Valletta (the capital of malta) is a UNESCO world heritage site and the whole island of Malta is considered to be an open-air museum.
