The Newport WN designations were used as one of over a hundred brands by Crescent Firearms, starting back in 1892. They made inexpensive firearms. Please have yours checked by a competent pistol smith before attempting to fire ANYTHING in it. Many of the very old 22s are NOT .22 LR, and are not up to firing modern high velocity ammunition. Value will be based on condition, and may range from $50 to $150 or so.
Newport was a brand name used by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co, Chicago (1882-1962) on shotguns made by Crescent Arms Co, J. Stevens Arms, Crescent-Davis, and probably other manufacturers.

The patent for Newport Model CN double barrell shotgun is 1915, but Newport was a named given to guns made by J Stevens, Ivers Johnson, and Crescent Arms. So most likely it was made in the early to mid 1900's.
Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co sold guns with the Newport name as early as the 1880s, but a hammerless Newport double would have been made by either Crescent between 1903 and 1930 or Stevens after that. The HSB trade names were discontinued during or shortly after World War 2.
Newport was a Brand Name used by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co, Chicago (1882-1962) on shotguns made by Crescent Firearms (1983-1930) and J. Stevens Arms (1930-1948). If it is a singleshot, it may have been made by Iver Johnson. Perhaps the Chicago Library has some old advertising from HSB&Co that would identify a model "W", but very little detail published about these old hardware store guns.
Newport guns were made by a variety of manufacturers for Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. Known makers are Crescent, Davenport, Iver Johnson, and Stevens. Best bet for a 410 single would be Iver Johnson's Champion model.

Manufactured by Crescent. There were several minor changes in Crescent guns over production, and you will have to carefully compare tang widths and lengths, etc. Finding a stock that will just bolt up is going to be a needle-in-the-haystack proposition. sales@countrygunsmith.net
