2K + 2HNO3 ------------> 2KNO3 + H2
Gives potassium nitrate, carbon dioxide and water. Also gives a great deal of heat and a great deal of froth (the carbon dioxide). Making this potentially dangerous as you could very easily get a frothy faceful of hot nitric acid if you don't know what you are doing. Also pointless, as you can buy all of the products very easily and cheaply without running the risk of putting yourself in hospital.
K2CO3 + 2HNO3 --> 2KNO3 (potassium nitrate) + H2O + CO2
in words:
potassium carbonate + sulphuric acid = potassium sulphate + water + carbon dioxide
the balanced chemical equation is:
K2CO3 + H2SO4 = K2SO4 H2O + CO2
H2SO4(aq) + KNO2(aq) = 2HNO2(aq) + K2SO4(aq)
2HNO3 + K2CO3 = 2KNO3 + H2O + CO2 Remember the general equations for acid and carbonate. Acid + Carbonate = Salt + Water + Carbon Dioxide. NB Other general equations for acid reactions are Acid + Base = Salt + Water Acid + Alkali = Salt + Water Acid + Metal = Salt + Hydrogen.
potassium hydroxide is POH and nitric acid is HNO3
Barium carbonate will react with nitric acid, producing barium nitrate, carbon dioxide, and water.
Potassium will react with nitric acid to produce potassium nitrate and hydrogen gas. 2K + 2HNO3 --> 2KNO3 + H2
2 HNO3 + Na2CO3 ---> H2CO3 + 2 NaNO3 Nitric acid + sodium carbonate ---> carbonic acid + sodium nitrate
K2CO3 + 2HNO3 = 2KNO3 (potassium nitrate) + H2O + CO2 and it's nitric acid
iron :)
This is considered an acid/base reaction.
2HNO3 + K2CO3 = 2KNO3 + H2O + CO2 Remember the general equations for acid and carbonate. Acid + Carbonate = Salt + Water + Carbon Dioxide. NB Other general equations for acid reactions are Acid + Base = Salt + Water Acid + Alkali = Salt + Water Acid + Metal = Salt + Hydrogen.
potassium hydroxide is POH and nitric acid is HNO3
The correct molecular equation of, calcium carbonate-CaCO3 nitric acid-HNO3
Barium carbonate will react with nitric acid, producing barium nitrate, carbon dioxide, and water.
Potassium will react with nitric acid to produce potassium nitrate and hydrogen gas. 2K + 2HNO3 --> 2KNO3 + H2
2 HNO3 + Na2CO3 ---> H2CO3 + 2 NaNO3 Nitric acid + sodium carbonate ---> carbonic acid + sodium nitrate
Sodium hydrogen carbonate and nitric acid react to form sodium nitrate, carbon dioxide, and water.
Potassium carbonate plus nitric acid. K2CO3 + 2HNO3 = 2KNO3 + H2O + CO2 .
