Poulan Riding mower 17hp 42 cut and a spring came off during mowing It obviously has to do with the blade deck as it now cuts to the groundAnyone know where spring goes?

I think your mower deck lift assembly spring has fallen off. The spring came off because the deck lift adjustment screw must have been unscrewed to the point that the deck fell off. Cut and paste this address into your browser address bar. You will need to prop the deck up put the spring back on and screw the adjustment screw back together. Keep in mind the adjustment screw may have fallen off completely.
