You would need to take Creon Forte' with each meal, 1 x Creon Forte' with a snack, and 4 shots of insulin per day. Patients often do not thrive and are thin and weak. Many have severe chronic pain in my upper left quadrant of the stomach, stools are diarrhea and fatty. When having a bowl movement feel may pass out sometimes. Always feel nauseaus dizzy. They often are in pain management. Many doctors have ever heard of the condition.

There are forums on line if you need to know more.

What is bloodletting?

Bloodletting is an ancient medical practice that involves withdrawing blood from a patient to treat various illnesses or conditions. It was based on the belief that imbalances in the body's "humors" could be corrected by removing blood. Bloodletting was used for centuries but is now considered outdated and potentially harmful by modern medical standards.

How will the removal of pancreas affect digestion?

The pancreas secretes digestive enzymes that aid digestion in the small intestines; the removal of the pancreas would make it much more difficult to digest food. If the pancreas has to be removed for medical reasons (probably pancreatic cancer) then presumably, the patient would then take enzyme pills with his or her meals, to make up for the loss of the pancreas. Such a person would also suffer from severe diabetes, since the pancreas is also the organ that secretes insulin, and a person without a pancreas would require insulin injections as well.

How does diabetes effect people?

When you are diagnosed with diabetes, your pancreas stops working. Your pancreas creates a chemical called insulin. Insulin helps your body digest sugar, so the diagnosed person cannot ingest any sugar ever again. Until they know that they are diagnosed, their blood sugar level can be dangerously high.
