She tells Elizabeth and Mr. Bennet she will never talk to Elizabeth again if she does not marry Mr. Collins. Mr. Bennet says he will never talk to Elizabeth again if she does marry Mr. Collins. Mrs. Bennet keeps after Elizabeth on the subject. Charlotte Lucas shows up. Mrs. Bennet complains. Mr. Collins says he will say no more on the matter and gives a typical long speech in which he rambles bitterly about how he will not resent the matter.
