Principle of solidarity in Islam

This great principle is assured a lot in Islam & at all levels, these are very few examples:

1. Mutual cooperation and understanding

The Almighty Allah says:

(يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوباً وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ)

which means in the English translation:

(O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Holy Quran, 49:13)

2. Brotherhood among the faithful:

Also, Allah assures another kind of brotherhood which is based on faith:

(إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ)

which is translated as:

(The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy) Holy Quran,(49:10)

3. mutual support

The prophet Muhammad PBUH said :

مثل المؤمنين في توادهم وتراحمهم وتعاطفهم كمثل الجسد الواحد، إذا اشتكى منه عضو تداعى له سائر الجسم بالحمى والسهر)

Which means in English translation:

" The believers in their mutual kindness,compassion & sympathy are just like one body ,when one of the limbs is afflicted ,the whole body responds to it with wakefulness & fever"

Assuring the brotherhood between the immigrant Muslims (from Makkah to Al-Madina) & the Muslim citizens of Al-Madina who were called Al-Ansar, was among the most important deeds of the prophet Muhammad PBUH after the migration.
