Pros:
An animal can have a very good life in entertainment, being a mascot, treated well and fed well. It could also stop endangered animals from dieing out.
Cons:
Animals can be badly treated, kept in small enclosures for their size, beaten, and not fed particularly well if they do not do tricks sometimes. This sometimes occurs in old fashioned circuses who are not governed by any state or county laws because they travel around
Conclusion: it all depends on the establishment looking after the animal, and whether it is in a well developed, civilised, well Governed country.
Hope this helps :)
Some of the cons include working the animals too hard and causing harm and injury to them. Some pros include making money off of them if they win and spreading word about their species through media.
