I assume your talking about the oil pressure guage don;t worry when you accelerate it should go up it keeps oil going thru the motor to prevent metal to metal which will tear your engine apart(blow up) if your oil guage doesn't go up and down then you should worry but for now your good hope this helps drive safe
Follow the top radiator hose down to the water outlet on the engine. It is in the outlet.

an object can accelerate both up and down
Found out this can be cause by a faulty oil pressure switch best known as oil pressure sending unit
This is because gas is a liquid and moves around in the tank, when you accelerate the fuel moves to the rear of the tank, moving the float on the sending unit, making the gauge go up. In turn if you brake hard, the gauge will go down as the fuel will move away from the sending unit. They do put baffles in the tank to keep this from being to bad, but it does still happen on most vehicles.
