Homeschool isolates a child from the normal interaction that they would receive being in a public or private school setting. Proper socialization skills are necessary throughout the course of life and required for success in a chosen career.

Proper socialization happens in the real world, interacting with people in everyday situations. Parents help homeschool children learn socialization skills because they are able to witness how their parents act in different scenarios. Homeschool children are not isolated from normal interaction, they are experiencing normal interaction through normal everyday life.
Public and private schools create an artificial environment. Children are placed in a room full of children the exact same age as them. They are not allowed to interact with each other except for certain designated periods of time (lunch and recess).
I can't recall any jobs that would put you into such an environment. In a career you will need to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds. You will need to talk and interact with those around you in order to complete your duties.
My daughter was painfully shy until I started to homeschool her. Now she can strike up a conversation with anyone. She never knew how to react to adults before, and would hide behind me if anyone tried to talk to her. It is almost like she is a different person. I took her out of the artificial environment an placed her into the real world. In my and my children's opinion homeschool is better.

Do homeschool take you to field trips?
Yes! In general, homeschool kids take many many more field trips than kids who attend a 'regular' school. This is beacuse of the difficulty and expense in taking an entire classroom of kids on a field trip vs. taking your own children on a field trip. Many homeschool families take field trips at least once a month, if not more often. These can be as simple as learning about nutrition, budgeting, or money math at the local grocery store or visiting a museum, historic site, or business. Almost any place in your local community will accept homeschool groups for field trips (including factories, churches, stores, etc - get creative!) Many homeschool families also use their vacations as field trips and will visit the historic sites, state and national parks, etc wherever they happen to go. Homeschool families have the unique opportunity to do much more 'hands-on' learning beacuse there are fewer students and they are able to explore their own interests in much more depth.
