You could ask 'Do you hate me' If he likes you, I don't think it would be a problem. I prefer the straight up to the point yes or no questions like, "you wanna go out?" my advice is to get one of his friends to ask "what do ya think of her?" then ask the friend and if he does hate you, try to sit next to him and start conversation let him know who you truly are, whats inside. you should at least be allied by then. if he still hates you just forget it.
