RAM if you upgrade from 512mb to 1024 will your browser windows and programs open smoother and faster If RAM does not effect those then what can you do to boost the ease and speed of the 1st question?

Generally any time one adds memory to a PC the system will appear to ruin faster and "smoother". This is because a larger memory space allows the system to swap data less with a hard drive when the system runs short of memory in operation.
