The radio was wired wrong. Sounds like the hot wire for the radio was connected to the hot wire for the headlight switch.
unless your dimmer is turned down..... blown fuse or bad headlight switch. that's about it..
Unless the switch has a light to indicate the switch is turned on, there is no neutral connection to a single pole switch.
It will be the headlight switch itself has worn contacts and just needs the assembly replaced in most cases. If you jiggle or move the switch arm to make them come back on this pretty much means that is the problems no matter the year truck. It will not be the headlight relay or fuses.Mazda can tell you what part to replace unless you do not know how to fix things of this mechanical repair.Ok
Depends on the model of the vehicle. Older models have the switch on floorboard. Newer models have the switch on the steering column. Can not say unless you specify make and model. Corvette 1977
change the headlight retraction switch on the right side of the odometer cluster, it did the trick for me!
In switch language, open means to disconnect, or break the circuit. Some people call this "turned off". Closed, is to connect, or make the circuit. Some people call this turned on. In the case of a normally open switch, the switch is open (off) unless something takes action on the switch. Pushes a button for example, or holds a magnet near the switch, or other active force. A normally closed switch is closed (on) unless some force causes the switch to be opened.
Make sure that the switch on the top of the steering column in turned off. That controls the running lights on the car. FYI that switch is basically used if you are pulled over somewhere and don't need help but yet you need your lights on and still need to take your keys.
You can't turn the lights off on a Golf MK4 unless you buy and install a Euro headlight switch (about 30 dollars on Ebay). The installation is as simple as pulling the stock headlight switch out and sliding the new one in (no wires so splice, it is a plug and play item).
you need to either adjust ratchet on motor or you ned to replace light switch light switch sounds like it is worn out
The trunk switch on the dash should still operate unless the trunk release switch inside the glove box has been turned off.
On older vehicles you replace the entire headlight. On the newer vehicles you just replace the bulb unless the headlight assembly is damaged.
It's possible that you have a bad ignition switch. Normally, those lights won't turn on unless the ignition is turned to the "Run" position. A bad switch may be allowing current to flow through one or more contacts when it's not supposed to.
