An example is if you have 512 Mb of RAM then 512 Mb of data will be transferred to the RAM at a time, but if you upgrade it to 1 GB of RAM then 1 GB of data will be transferred to the RAM at a time verses the 512 Mb. So the speed at which the RAM stores data will increase if the size of the RAM is increased. I hope this answers your question.
