bad cap or rotor first thing to check
The spark travels from the coil to the distributor then from the distributor to the plugs. So if you have spark going into the distributor but not coming out to the plugs, I would blame the distributor cap and rotor being at fault.
No fire going to the plugs from distributor have fire up to the module none coming out what do I check for next
im not getting fire to the spark plugs but the distributor is getting fire what do i do please help
coil, distributor, distributor cap, plugs, or wires.
Have you checked all of the High Tension leads from the distributor to the plugs, or just one or two? Same with HT lead from Coil to Distributor, Check Distributor cap for cracks

A faulty ECM!!!
Check the coil, coil wire, rotor, and distributor cap.
Your ignition module may be out. Or your distributor is out. What kind of vehicle?
The distributor send high voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plugs. It ensures that they fire at the correct time and in the correct order.
Check the distributor. That is the most likely cause, or the crankshaft sensor.
going through a deep puddle will cause water to get into your Distributor causing the spark plugs not to fire, take off the distributor cap and make sure its dry as a bone
