I believe it was the Bridger Bowl Ski Resort in the Bridger Mountains, which recorded 72 inches in 24 hours. I skied it, and we were told that it was a record. Note: the record was a world record, not a U.S. record. The exact number of 72 inches I only know because I was there. On our first ride up the lift, at the top, a ski-patrol, who had just received notice of the measurement, shouted to the people riding up the lift that it was 72 inches. 6 feet exactly.
