To remove the oil pan all you have to do is drain the oil and pull the oil pan bolts. Then you have to move it so you can get at the oil pickup tube bolts. You get those out then you can just let that fall down on top of the gasket which will then come off with oil pan.
I had a hard time with this. I still had to remove the two bottom bolts, On the front motor mount and lift the motor 4-6 in.
