Remove the two screws. Then remove the light housing. The bulb is right there, pull it out. Cheers
Through the trunk behind that paneling.
If you remove the panels from the interior of the trunk you should find the bolts that hold the taillamp assembly to the body of the car. Simply remove the nuts and this releases the lamp assembly.
because there's no where else to put it
If u mean the rear turn signal light - there are two nuts that keep the rear tail light in place. You have to gain access to the inside of the trunk, remove enough of the inner lining to reach the two nuts. After u remove the tail light, flip it over and a half twist to remove each bulb.
To change the trunk light in a 2002 Nissan Maxima, a person will need to unscrew the cover over the light. Then they can remove the old bulb and replace with a new one. Then screw the lens cover back on.
In my '05 Altima, you have to fold down the rear seats. If you follow the carpet down into the gap you will see the fastners (there should be 3 or 4). Simply take a flathead screwdriver and pop them out.

Unless your Altima suffered body damage, you won't likely want to replace the entire light fixture. To replace a blown lightbulb in your taillight you have to access it from the trunk. Inside the trunk you will see an access panel for both tail lights. Remove the applicable panel and swap the bulbs out. Typical bulb installation involves the twisting (clockwise and the counter-clockwise) of the bulb 90 degrees when removing and then replacing it. Good luck!
If you fold down the back seats and look through the opening with a flashlight you can see a T-handle attached to the back of the trunk to the right of the center. That has to be pulled in order to open a stuck trunk. There is no key hole on a 2005 Altima.
