You need to replace the dimmer switch in your gauge cluster. This was caused by a bad ground happens all the time.

You don't. It's illegal. If you have a faulty gauge cluster and need to replace it with a new or used set, you need to take it to a qualified shop that is allowed to do it and they have to set your new gauge cluster to your old ones milage.
You have to pull the gauge cluster out. On the back of the gauge cluster there will be little gray bulbs that twist in, turn them to the left and pull them out. Be carefull not to break the clips on the dash while removing it, or installing it.

You have to take the entire drivers side dash off. Take off the kick panel, the dash trim sometimes looks like wood grain, dash besel, finaly the gauge cluster.
the cluster fuse is blown!Replace it!if it blows again you have an electrical short somewhere.
